Why c-parts management?
Procuring c-parts causes high administrative expenditure in relation to the invoiced value of goods. An attribute of c-parts is that, with approximately 80%, they represent a high percentage of the total quantity of parts procured by a company, while they only account for a minor purchasing volume of 20%.
Conditionally c-parts develop the largest order expenditure through the numerous suppliers they have to be procured from and the sheer quantity of individual orders. This leads to disproportionally high processing costs in relation to the purchase price.

1. Kanban-Solution
What is the meaning of Kanban?
Kanban is the Japanese word for card or sign. A kanban carries information. It is attached to the product container, passes through the assembly process with the product and contains the necessary working instructions. But a kanban can also initiate the supply of new parts, preassembled parts or raw material. There are different types of kanban. Within a system a kanban is meant to keep the required goods ready in the necessary quantity at the appropriate time.
1.1 installation of a shelf in the customer’s company with two filled containers per item required
1.2 the customer picks the items from the shelf
1.3 the customer takes the containers from the shelf as soon as they are empty – a second container covers the further demand
1.4 BÖGER-Team collects the empty containers at an allocated pick-up point
1.5 BÖGER-Team acquires the demand by accurate scanning and refills the containers
1.6 BÖGER-Team delivers the refilled containers to the customer

2. Scanner-Solution
Consumption-metering in real-time further reduces surplus stock by securing reliable minimum stock amounts.
This allows for individual minimum stock amounts for different c-parts which is especially suited for expensive, unwieldy and scarcely needed items.
2.1 BÖGER provides a shelf with a barcode attached to one container per item
2.2 the customer confirms the consumption by scanning the barcode
2.3 the data of the requirements, as read by the scanner, is fed via a docking station into a program supplied by BÖGER and then transferred to BÖGER using a secure VPN-connection

simple system is a royalty free procurement platform for c-parts. Over 800 customers are using simple system and are able to access over 4.5 million articles from more than 100 suppliers. Hence simple system is one of the most intensively used platforms to obtain articles such as fasteners, factory equipment, office supplies, electrical parts, tools et cetera. Languages featured on the simple system website are French, German and Italian.
Ariba Supplier Network is one of the world’s largest open networks for business transactions. More than 100 000 suppliers do business online with several hundred important international purchase organizations. Supplying a single marketplace for real time trade, the Ariba Supplier Network offers purchase organizations a powerful solution for the efficient coordination of procurements within the spend management cycle. This leads to immediate savings regarding the transaction. Languages featured on Ariba’s website are English and German.
